About the series
What are we preserving—and what are we becoming?
America: In Peril or Preservation is an independent interview show hosted by Everett Chase, exploring the freedoms, institutions, and ideas shaping American life.
Through conversations with public officials, scholars, professionals, and everyday people, we examine where America’s principles meet its realities. From government power and individual liberty to faith, public safety, and community life, we ask what deserves defending, what needs changing, and who gets to decide.
Our conversations begin with a person and their experience. From there, we follow the questions—even when they lead somewhere uncomfortable. Guests have room to explain their views, and those views are open to challenge. Agreement isn’t required; thoughtful engagement is.
Rooted in Southeast Texas, the show brings local experiences into a national conversation. America’s future takes shape in our neighborhoods, workplaces, courts, churches, and everyday choices.
The aim is to understand what we’re protecting, what we’re risking, and why.
